Praying Together

There are many ways to be involved in the life of St. Anne Parish. One of the easiest but most important is through prayer. Prayer is as necessary as eating, sleeping, and breathing for each of us as individuals. We grow in our relationship with God and nourish our faith through prayer. In addition to personal prayer, we also come together to pray as the Body of Christ when we celebrate Mass and the sacraments. Besides liturgical prayer it is important that we come together in other ways for communal prayer. Praying together reminds us that, as followers of Christ, we are united in our care and concern for each other and for the needs of the world around us. By joining our hearts and voices in prayer, we believe our prayers take on an even greater efficacy and we are also helping to encourage each other's faith.

Catholics have had a long tradition of calling upon the Blessed Mother's intercession by praying the rosary together. Here at St. Anne's, the Women's Sodality has always been a faithful and dedicated leaven in our parish community. United in devotion to Mary, our Sodality joins together in prayer every week for the needs of our parish, Church, and world. We invite all the women of our parish to experience the power of prayer as a community in service to our parish and to the world.
